Pennsylvania Farm Land

5x7"

Acrylic on masonite

This is my first attempt at the Different Strokes challenge. Every two weeks Karin Jurick (she hosts the blog) posts a photo for everyone to paint. All the completed paintings are then posted for everyone to see and compare their work. It's a great idea, especially if you want be motivated. There are so many great artists who participate.
This week she posted a black and white farm scene. We had to determine the color based on the values in the photograph.

  1. I like the tighter crop... the focus on the buildings. Nice!

  3. This is very jewel-like in color and very rich like the land as it comes to full summer bloom.
