Elkmont Bridge Painting

I started my third painting for class on Wednesday and this is how far I have gotten. I have laid most of the colors in and got the arches fairly accurate:) This bridge is located in the Great Smoky Mountains NP in an old logging and resort community called Elkmont. My grandmother was born very close to this area around the time the park was being formed. We actually have a family cemetery up the road between the abandoned houses where descendants of the Trentham family can still be buried. I have uncles, aunts, and grandparents laid to rest there. It is so peaceful.
